I'd had an eye on that one, but it went out of my price range. A bit pricy, but a very nice looking razor. Should be a fantastic shaver to boot.

Same here, been watching that one. Congrats, it's a nice example. I should have bid. I actually thought it might go for more.

Speaking as a newbie just riddled with RAD, I think you did pretty good. That razor looks to be in near pristine condition from the picture, and is shave ready, but maybe rescaled. W&B choppers seem to be all over the place in price on eBay, mostly north of $100 in any kind of good condition. I'm new to this, but it seems maybe the W&B choppers are the Gillette Fatboy of the straight razor world right now.

A "For Barbers Use" W&B went for almost $200 last week on eBay, in nowhere near the condition yours is in. I saw an identical Barbers Use razor, in somewhat better condition than that $200 one, go for about $60 the week before, that I was kicking myself over missing.

I got good deals on the two nice W&Bs I've bought from right here on the BST (one a Celebrated, another a smaller late model), just love them. For me just starting out and still very much learning how to straight shave, it seems the bigger and more wicked a razor looks, the more gently it shaves for me. Their size and weight lead me to naturally use less pressure, maybe out of respect (fear?). And I think the big old W&Bs are just beautiful, iconic razors. A Fatboy, unsheathed.
