    Default H. Tenk razor mystery

I've been trying to get some info on a lovely razor that's marked as:

    51
    H&J H.Tenk
    A.D. 1865
    Made in Germany

I've scoured the internet and can find any information regarding this razor... you'd think it never existed.

In the shape it's in, I have serious trouble that the 1865 indicates it's age, however it could have been stored in a vault most of it's life for all I know.

The scales (that have an engraved or molded scrolling design on both sides) appear to be either yellow cellulose or possible bone, I'll have to take a hot pin to some inconspicuous place to find out for certain.

If anyone can offer any information on this razor, I would greatly appreciate it!

    TENK Hardware Co.(1865-1925).
This company was founded by Henry Tenk, Jr. and his brother Herman in 1865.
They incorporated in 1891, and had the largest wholesale hardware business in the area.
They went out of business in 1967.
It is all that I can tell about this razor.
