    What do you think makes the better shaver high carbon damascus or cpm-s30vstainless from Robert Williams

    I would talk to Robert about it. He's probably got the best handle on what would be best for you. For example, I'd ask him how tough the stainless is to hone. Isn't that one of those "super" steels?

    They are all good. I have one of those S30V stainless made by Robert. I got it from John Crowley at the Shave Den. Great shave. I also have a few damascus blades and of course carbons. Any quality made razor will give you a great shave if it is properly honed and stropped assuming you have good prep and technique.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
