Fromm Straight Razor
is this a decent razor for a newbie? who knows just about nothing of straight edge razor shaving
if so what other items would i need?

Not sure if i'm correct, but isn't that the same company that produces Illinois strops? Can't help you on the quality, i'm afraid. Unless you like a challenge i'd look in the classifieds though. You'll get a shave ready razor that way, & that will help you enjoy the experience more 'till you're ready to progress.

Thanked: 13245I have honed one, and just did a quick test shave with it before sending it back home, They are a decent razor, somewhere in the same category as a Double Arrow...Rather heavy handling as compare to a quality razor of the same size....
The real question I guess is would I spend $49.99 on one??? and that would be a resounding NO I would either get a Vintage razor or spend the $10 on a Double Arrow.....
