Thanked: 12nd Razor
Well Gentleman I need a little assistance, I am currently shaving with a Pyramid but would like to start acquiring other blades. What brands should I look for when perusing Ebay?
I preferably would pay less than $50, I'm hoping I can hunt around and find good blades at cheap prices because they need work. I can then, anytime I want, just grab a razor and send it off to be restored. The end result being that I would have a nice arsenal of razors while not paying too much at any give one time for said stash of straights. As well as be able to shave with different blades, and figure out what I like shaving with the best.
Thank you in advance for your input, this newbie truly appreciates it!!!!

The only problem is if you buy razors that need restoration and plan on sending them out you might wind up paying way more than if you spent a little more to begin with and got a razor that just needed some honing and maybe a minor cleanup which you could do yourself.

Thanked: 1I guess I should have mentioned I would like to learn how to restore my own razors. I am good with my hands and would think restoring an old nasty straight into a beautiful razor would be very rewarding. However i know this skill is not easy thus my first few blades I may send out so I can see how someone made the transformation.

Pyramid Razor Box
If you do not have a box for your Pyramid Razor, I shall give you one. It is less than perfect and is minus a lid; however, to have a box that matches the razor is a plus if and when you sell/trade. I myself, need box(es) for the following: Dixie, Joseph Elliot, Engels, ERN, IXL, Reincke. By the way, those are good brands to look for in a 2nd, etc., razor!... Good hunting, Robert in Texas
