I was one of them. I ordered two Livi regrinds with boxwood scales for my 60th birthday in June and my wife and I went to Perugia to pick them up in person. They are far and away my best shavers. They are absolute a good value for the money in addition to having much more warmth than an industrial product.

Ok,so if I visit him I will have no trouble finding the shaving kit of my dreams in his store? I mean without preordering? PS: I want damascus steel and ivory.

    You definitely have to preorder.

OK,Thanks. You've been real helpful. Btw, can you pretty much design your own razor when you order from him?

Yes, you can pretty much ask for any design and specification. Do a forum search on "Pilgrimage to Perugia" for two threads I did a while ago. The first was where I stole loads of ideas from members here on design, the second was the journey there on a family holiday to pick up the piece. Unforgettable and the best fun.

My only regret was that I didn't pick up a regrind as well at that time. I will next time!

I got lucky one morning some months ago. A fellow had this set and had never used it. He put it on ebay for $800.00 buy it now. I wrestled with it for about an hour before I pulled the trigger. Great razor and brush and I love the loom strop too.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

wow! great set! That must have been a real bargain,at least a couple of months ago. You lucky bastard! At least I've been promised a Livi regrind for my birthday in may, looking forward!
The livi set is something I have to wait a while to buy, but I've already started the design proces in my mind
