Thread: sad little story.. or what should I consider vs. Livi Regrind?

True Story:

Bloke gets Straight Razor Bee in his Bonnet.
After a few weeks of wondering what to buy where, stumbles into vintage TI at Swiss Antique shop.
Pays over the odds for it, but is very happy with it. Starts messing around with hones and stuff, has two moderately successful shaves.
Leaves it open to dry in a cupboard, out of harm´s way.
Wife does a spot of cleaning. Purposefully whisks the assorted junk out of the fateful cupboard.

Steel hits floor. Game over.

Bloke is gutted. The consolation is that wife promises him a replacement for Xmas. Budget runs to about $300.

I´m tall and have large hands. A Livi Regrind looks just the thing for me. But should I be worrying about any alternatives? (e.g. LeGrelot? other?). Or should I just shut up and get on with it?
