    Default Tosuke Japanese razor

    Hello all,

Is anyone familiar with the Tosuke Japanese straight razor and if so, what can you say about it? Does anyone know how or where to find them?

    Thank you,
    Lee

The easiest is probably to do a search on the forum.
I think OLD_SCHOOL has few on his website for substantially less than the latest production was selling when it was available.

I got one from Telly, haven't tried it yet. If it is as good as the Iwasaki you'll love it.

I use one exclusively and have since March of this year. It's a different style of holding the razor, and the rest (honing, stropping, etc.) is your choice if you want to follow tradition or whatever. I love that it has a grip, I love that it doesn't fold, I love the shorter blade length, and I love that I can strop hard with it.

Thanks to you all. I like a challenge and this looks like a new one for me. As I gain experience with it, I hope to be able to help some else with good information or feedback too.
