If you are new and plan on shaving with it you will definitely need a strop.

You can probably find a good deal in the classifieds or Tony Miller is well known on this site for his strops. His site is The Well Shaved Gentleman, Heirloom Razor Strop Company, Straight Razor Shaving Supplier.

You may also want to have the razor honed by someone from this site so that you can learn to shave with a "shave ready" razor and feel what a well honed razor is supposed to feel like. You can find them in the Classifieds under Member Services. The less variables there are the quicker you will be having comfortable shaves.

There is a lot to learn about straight shaving and it is well worth it to read everything you possibly can from this website and it would probably be a good idea to purchase Lynn's DVD if possible.
