Does TI a French company make a French Point Str8?
I was shaving with my MK24 yesterday (a french point str8) made by a Swedish company. And I started to wonder did TI a French company every make a French point straight razor? Does anybody have one?
It would make sense for a French company to make a French point str8. Surprisingly in my 3+ years of str8 shaving I have not seen any? Have you?

Thanked: 26From my experience, they do not. They sometimes make partly rounded points but not the conventional French point.

That's assuming the French came up with the "French point." Sometimes nomenclature just doesn't make sense.

In Denmark we call generic white bread made from wheat "Franskbrød" which means, bada-bum... "French Bread".
They have done things that none other have before them, but I don't think they were the first to make bread from wheat

Thanked: 335Strangely enough, in France that particular razor tip profile is called the Norsk Notchless.

Slightly off topic but I recall hearing that french fries are called such because of the manner in which they were traditionally prepared.
