    Default Scales and Pins resource?

I have a small wade and butcher. 5/8 hollow ground.
I would like some plastic scales, something with some color but similar style to the old standby black ones you see everywhere. I like the plastic because of the weight and care. This is a user so I don't want exotic.

I know little about sizing for scales. Just ask and I can provide whatever is needed.

Where or who is the best place to get this ?

    Thanks,

    Ron

All the way from the UK!!!!! How long is shipping usually to US (Florida)??
Seems like it would get expensive for only one set of scales. Hmm..

Classicshaving.com also has them, but it looks like theinvisibleedge.com has a much better selection of scales and parts as well.

PM Traveler (Gary). He makes poured acrylic scales that are very cheap for what they are. He could do whatever color or combination you want.

If you are willing to do a little of the work yourself, just find a nearby knife making supply store and pick up some 1/8th thick micarta or G-10. Lots of colors to choose from and indestructable.

These are the people that I ordered from: Ranger Original Handcrafted Knives :: OnLine Store
They are relatively local, just a couple of hours down the road (from me). They are also really easy to deal with. The normal stock they carry is 5" long, which is just a little short for scales. They offered to cut a larger 12" sheet in half for me. I have a red and black linen arriving on Wednesday.

    Ron,
I just mailed a jiffy bag to NC, from the uk today. The cost was about 2 - 2.5$ and the lady in the post office reckons delivery should be around 4 days. I hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Mark.....
