Question Zwilling Henckels Solingen razor a good start?

Hi guys! Just found my way to this forum, read the beginners guide, wiki, and all that.
Now looking to buy my first razor. I found this one on a local (hungarian) auction site: Használatlan Zwilling borotva
The price equals to about $60, it says it's an unused piece, made by Zwilling, and sports a blade that says both Henckels and Solingen on it. Doesn't sound too bad, but as a newbie I am not sure if it's worth bidding on. What do you think?

    Thanks in advance,
    Attila

PS: Oh, and I am a Gemini, which is Zwilling in german. That's why it caught my attention first...

    Hello and welcome to SRP.

The Henckels razors are great shavers, in my opinion. I have one small 4/8 and have a big 8/8 on the way.
Yours looks about 4/8 or 5/8, I can't tell for sure, so it has a good size to a starter razor.
If it's really NOS (new old stock, never used), then the price you paid is a definitely a good deal.
Tell us later your impressions on this razor.

    Congratulations.

Hi! Henckels razors are supposed to be very good. I'd say you got a good deal! Congratulations!
Now don't forget to have it honed and have fun with it!

    Hello & welcome!
It's a good razor from a respected maker, but it won't arrive sharp enough to shave comfortably. It'll need honing. You could send it away to have that done. That would save the expense of needing stones yourself & it'd be done right. That would give you a benchmark for how a sharp razor should feel.
If your budget doesn't allow for this & the strop, I'd leave it, but it is a nice razor.
I'm still waiting for a NOS Henkels Friodur bought two weeks ago & getting desperate for it now!

Good feedback from all posts above. You can't go wrong with a Henckles sreaight. Hope you win the blade for a fair price.

I didn't notice that. It does look a bit scratched up.
    Well spotted!
