All my Boker's are vintage so I can't speak to the new ones. They look great.

As for the old ones, they're amazing.

Unless you really, really, really want one of those, or insist on getting a new razor, you should seriously consider getting a Dovo or a Wacker. Shameless plug for my shop of choice, mind you. Their razors will arrive shave ready. Other than that, there are some shops in Europe that will most likely deliver bigger bangs for your UK bucks (Rasurpur.de - Rasiermesser und mehr aus Frankreich & Solingen, Introduction to razors, etc.)

I have the Silver Steel and it is a nice shaver. I really love the vintage Boker blades though. They usually are killer shavers.

    Have fun,

My understanding was that the new Bokers were being ground by Wacker.

Though its a nice razor I think you can do much better price wise. I would go with a nice TI for that much money in a new razor or save your money and buy a Livi regrind they are truly great shavers.
