I guess it was probably something like the Black Demon was just in better shape from the get go. There's no telling how long the Fram was in that antique store.

I am bumping this old thread as I recently got an old Fram Siegel by Mandler Solingen, too. It is marked Elite 50 (9/16 very hollow) and it is in white plastic scales that are unfortunately cracked. I need to dress it in new scales before I'll attempt any honing or pr0n.
Any other Fram owners around?

This thread have been silent for way too long
This week i got a FRAM Elite 50 in the mail.
nice clean blade and edge..
I worked it through the stones, and ended up with a great shaver.
I hope you like the pictures.
