anybody know what the trademarks mean?
I'm wondering if anybody knows what is behind the arrow trademark of w&b and the twins of henckles? the w&b one reminds me of the east india company symbols in Pirates of the Caribbean. just thougth one of you collector types might have an idea.

ps
anybody got a tattoo of the w&b symbol? since it is seems to be a quintessential symbol of straight razors that only others of our ilk would recognize.

I do know that Henckels used the name Twinworks (Zwillingworks, spelling might be off), so it makes sense that they had twins. I'm not sure why they used the twins bit though...
Regarding the tattoo thing, that is an interesting thought. If I was ever to get a straight razor related tattoo, I think I would refrain from actual logos/names. While I do like a nice W&B, I think I would feel like a sellout or poser or something like that getting the name or logo of such a "mainstream" company. Not that I would go for a less known company, then I'd feel like a fanboy. If anything, I would probably just get a really nice looking razor that I would design myself. That way it would be personal and unique. But I don't forsee myself getting any straight related tattoos...

I think that I'd probably get an actual straight razor at some point, but I think that a symbol would be great too. w&b would be more recognizable than a more obscure one. then again I have a tattoo of the unit cell of iron because I thought that was a cool representation that I like working with metal.
basically I'm jonesing for another tattoo and not fisaclly ready for any of the big ones I'm saving canvas for. one like this could be thrown in somewhere small and not ruin future sites.
