2/8 & 3/8
im looking at the dovo 2/8" & 3/8" razors and thinking they might be good for doing specialty deeds like shaving along the lip line and shaping my chops (long sideburns).
ive been shaving for almost a year using a disposable blade straight razor so im pretty confident with my technique. the 5/8" im comf with shaving all over just around my lip i feel id like something not so bulky...am i over annalyzing? should i just suck it up and get used to using the 5/8 under and above my lip?

I have a 3/8 Tennis razor with aluminium scales by Fritz Bracht. I only used it once, gave me a decent shave. However I prefer larger and heavier grinds.

You won't know until you try. Go with what works for you.

I have tried with a 3/8 hollowground and hated it. I just couldn't keep a consistent angle or stroke. I think it probably just needs practice with that particular size. I do have a 3/8 W&B wedge, which has a wicked edge and is great to shave with though.
Personally I would stick with a larger size for the whole of my face - I have managed it so far and never found it to be a problem. Of course you may find that it suit you better to have different sizes - if so go for it.

Thanked: 1903I have a 3/8ths Puma and I do not like it at all. It simply is too easy to manoeuvre for my liking.
