They'll probably shave equally well. As far as looks go I like the ebony too. Just watch out for that spike.

I recently picked up the Ebony Spike myself. It's very nice and shaves well. I like it a lot. The only negative comment I have is that the gold name plate on the side (which I didn't like anyway) is just a sticker. Mine had a wrinkle in it when it arrived, so I peeled it off. I think it looks better without it, but the sticker thing seems kind of cheesy.
