Thread: My Dad's Razor

My Dad recently gifted me with his old str8. I knew he had one, and asked about it - I didn't have any knowledge what it actually was since I haven't seen it in many years.

Turns out it's an old Dovo - probably a nice one. However, it's got a hairline fracture about 1/4" back from the tip, from the blade edge to nearly the spine. Is this something a honemeister can restore to shave-ready status so I can explore the wonders of this hobby?

Assuming I figured out how to attach images, the top one is an overall view, the second has a wavy yellow line pointing at the hairline crack, in approximate shape of the crack, and the third is a darker image that shows the crack more clearly.
