    yeah, mine is about a 1/4" shorter. Still dont know if that's how it was made or not.

    If it's got good temper and hones and shaves well that is the important thing. Looks like it may have been made @ that length. If not someone went to alot of trouble for a quarter inch.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Was this one advertised as short. There was one on there last month and I completely forgot to bid on it.

    I try to keep an eye out for the short travel style straights which seem to be around 2" of edge proper

    maybe at one point someone added standard scales

    i have two of thes and the blad is 2 3/4 by 15/16 wide they are the best hollow grounds that i have.the shave is so smooth that i dont mind the short length .

    That's about everything I'm looking for. Spike point and shorter so I can shave easily down to my beard line between my sideburns and goatee where a standard length blade is too long. Please polish it up a bit 'cause I don't have any skilz
