Thanked: 0Double Arrow Razor
I am looking to purchase my first straight razor and am new to the forums. I have heard double arrow is good, so I went search ebay and picked up one for $10 brand new. Then I realized the ad said not stamped with the double arrow logo and was wondering if its just a cheap knock off that will cut my face. Can anyone verify if this would be a legit good razor or not:
Famous Double Arrow straight razor. Sharp as a...razor. - eBay (item 220291211923 end time Jan-04-09 18:12:06 PST)
Thanks.

actually, the unstamped double arrows are BETTER than the stamped ones. that seller is well known here and is a good guy who will sell you a decent razor.
unstamped double arrows make very good shavers.
WARNING: it ain't gonna be shave ready when you get it, it won't even cut hair. send it to a honemeister, you won't regret it.

Thanked: 26Is the stamp on the blade or between the scales? I have two that have a stamp between the scales - nothing on the blade - and they're terrible. I'm disappointed because I bought an earlier one, which I since gave away, and it was a great shaver. I don't remember how the earlier one looked.
