Thread: DOVO solingen problem

i am currently having a little problem with dovo solingen38.in the box it says swedish steel hollow ground.
This blade gets shave ready very easy.steel seems like very soft.after i made it shave ready i tried shave some hair it does the great job but i go back check the edge it is already bends?looks like wire edge?Does anyone had similar problems with dovo?thank you

I have not seen that problem Bud... Is this a newer Dovo???

i don't own this razor .owner said he bought from Vintage Blades LLC.when i got blade i did check the blade and couldn't believe how bad edge was i thought may be stropping tech or bad hard strop could do it.this is was my first thought.then i used tape i put up a new bevel wow took me less then 5 minut .blade doesn't get shave ready as soon as you see it is in there and check edge it is already so soft bends figure 8 or spots touches hair edge almost gone.Made me confuse i had never seen this type steel i do have swedish steel but old blade that blade is harder 10 times then this blade.I am not sure about box is matching to the original razor but razor says dovo 38.i hope someone owns one and let me know what is it?
