    Default JR Torrey

Does anyone know anything about the history of this company or the quality of it's blades? I recently bought one and I would like to know more about it.

J.R.Torrey U.S. Worcester MASS. 1880-1963. The Company was founded in 1858 to make razor strops, and sell straight razors. In 1880, they started manufacturing razors. The razors they had dealt in prior to this were imported from Sweden and England.
Almost all razors are good, if they are well ground=).

Torrey made a good razor back in the old days. Should make a good shaver if the blade is in good condition.
