Default Any information on this razor?

Couldn't find any information on Google or a search of these forums.

This was an antique store pickup for $8. Blade was fairly well stained, but no major pitting. I was able to work out the majority of it. Haven't popped the scales off yet to sand and polish around the tang as the scales are in really good shape and look natural, so I don't want to damage them.

Sorry for the poor quality pic:

One side of the tang says Bessemer Sheffield and the other says Made in Germany and has a crescent moon with a six-pointed star in it. Handle looks like some sort of horn, cream colored with slightly darker striations and a few very dark brown ones.

It's a bone handle. This is a fine example of a 1920's era spike. There were a lot this made by various makers. It will be a fine shaver for you. Great snag for the bucks.

Nice find. Here is a little info that may be of interest. I don't mess with the scales on a razor like that. I clean it up as best I can with a paper towel and semi chrome or flitz and call it good. I am more interested in honing it up and seeing how it shaves. I may get to the restoration stage of the game but I am not there yet. I would be really bummed if I busted a nice set of scales to get a bit of corrosion out from the tang. If you know what you are doing I guess it is no big thing.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
