Thanked: 0Wade&Butcher For Barber's Use Shaving Properities
I know that the Barber's Use Wade and Butcher choppers get alot of attention around here. I was just wondering if they shave like a wedge. I'm a big fan of wedges, and I've gotten interested in buying a For Barber's use. I just want to make sure that it will be similar to a wedge before I pull the trigger.

Like a big heavy wedge!
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

I used mine today. I rarely skip a day shaving but when I do, I go to my Wade & Butcher 9/8 chopper. It shaves like a wedge but with INERTIA.
I find it surprisingly easy to be very precise with it-especially on my chin. Mine also has a nice smile to the edge. The steel is without peer, IMO, it will hold a scary sharp yet SMOOTH edge.
Highly recommended. Unfortunately, they are getting harder to find. I love mine-GO AHEAD AND PULL THE TRIGGER.

If you like wedges you will like the big 'Barber's Use" W&B. They usually go for more then they are worth on the bay so shop around.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
