    Default Wittle Wade and Butcher

I bought this lot of razors a whole ago. Came in today. Some interesting pieces. The pics showed lots oh hone wear. In reality, there were allot of wedges.

Usually small blades are not very collectible. But this one has me interested. I may just keep it after I restore it.

It's a wade and butcher wedge. and it's a LITTLE THING.

    3/8 wedge
    2 1/2" blade
    4 7/8" full length

I actually have a couple of little wedges too waiting in line to get to the stones. I can't wait to try them as they look handy around the mustache and other tight areas. Let me know how she shaves when you get it cleaned up and honed!!!

So these are somewhat common than? I wasn't sure. W&B are known for their huge cleavers.

I actually have a very little german razor, between 3/8 and 4/8, and I thought I would hate it, as my favorite razors are heavy 7/8's with pronounced smiles. But, contrary to my prejudice, I had a great shave from the little guy and was really pleased with it. I still prefer the larger blades, but it's opened my eyes a little wider to a bit more than what I'm used to.

You know I think it actually take more skill to wield a small razor. I tried after I got good with the larger razors and I do like it. With this one I am actually excited about making little tiny scales to match the blade. It will be very small but I think if I do the scales right, very balanced because the length of the blade matched the width.
