Here's an interesting razor from 1933 (never needs sharpening...).

very interisting but that thing looks huge but i wouldent mind having one as a collectiable and to see if it still shaves good

I wonder if they really did not need sharpening why they did not use them today, perhaps it was marketing?
It looks good though. Funny that the electric razor ad says that it is held like a straight, I wonder how previous electric razors were held. Thanks for posting.
