I'm guess I wouldn't call it a problem. The razor probably doesn't get much cosmetic attention at the factory. So, the shoulder isn't smooth and is more pronounced.

    Hopefully this picture comes through...

True, I kinda like the utilitarian look to the razor. I actually prefer grind marks over polished in most cases. Well, as long as they are original.

    Thumbs up

OK just walked back from shaving with the Double Arrow. Very nice I must say. It honed up quite smooth. I did notice the heal causing a bit of grief. I just had to make sure to be careful around it and as Rick says, do a sweeping motion.

It got very sharp and under the microscope, it looked very smooth.

I would buy one if a friend ever wants a starting razor or if I want to take it on a trip and not worry about airport security taking it or it getting lost.

Mine is in the mail from Kenrup (or already there, not at home yet). I'm pretty excited, as I know he puts alot of work into these.

if you take time and hone them up to the 12,000 grit then do the paste thing you will be shocked at how smoth the shave is. with new scales and polished up to a shine they dont look bad at all.
