Thanked: 416Sorry to disagree but its been tried here and even heat treating IF you had the knowledge and equipment to do it properly have had no positive results that I have ever heard of. Better to find a good used razor in the classifieds and start from there.

oh no not a zeepk you cant go wrong in the classifieds, if it says shave ready it will be. consider getting a starter kit it has everything your zjunk kit had except it actually does what it is supposed to do. dubl ducks are great razors like cotdt said but you can start out with a lot cheaper razor that will shave just as good

Thanked: 416I would talk to Kenrup he has some decent starter razors. you don't have to have a hone just yet. most of the honemiesters here will throw in a free rehone if a new guy messes up his edge on the strop, so just get a good prehoned razor and get use to maintaing the edge on a strop then you may want to pick up a good barbers hone to maintain the edge. then Read Everything you can on taking care and proper honing technic at that point you might concider aset of hones.
