Hey thanks for the info guys. For now I'm going to stick with my Fromm. I'm moving into a new place, (packing up today actually) so hopefully in a month I'll have a little more time to check stuff out and pick up a razor off the classifieds. There are a couple old school barber shops where I'm moving too. I'm going to talk to some of those guys and see if they want to sell a hone or offer some pointers.

    Thanks for the tips.

the only hone you really need is the DMT D8EE for bevel-setting (diamond cuts very fast and yet fine-grained) and the Chinese 12k for the sharpening. Then finish on chromium oxide.

Yes, I mentioned that if the bevel is already set, all you will ever need is a pasted strop. A hone is only necessary for setting the bevel. Feel free to disagree but this has been my experience. And I'm flattered that you've been following me around and keeping track of all of my posts.
