Thread: Just wondering

I was just thinking about a couple from this guy but I would like to know if any of these or all seem it would be a great catch. I know nun2sharp will help lol. I appreciate everything n2s. Please let me know and maybe a price i would ask. I like some of the scales they are very nice.

Do you have a list of names on some of these, or all. They're numbered, so I was hoping to see a list of names.

The yellow clear celluloid looks like it could be a Gold Seal. I think I got mine for $20.

There are so many factors to consider -- edge condition, tarnish, scales (crack, do they line up straight, are they made out of unobtanium), blade condition (warp, rust, pitting). Much better pictures are necessary.

But ultimately, like everything else, they're worth what they're worth to you. If -- as most people on this list -- you're looking for a good shaver and not for it's collectable value, there's a list on the wiki of good brands, within which it's hard to go wrong. When you're first starting out, buy a few inexpensive razors of different makes -- a few solingens, a few sheffields, a few americans. One will inevitably suit you -- and maybe more.

There is, ultimately, no wrong answer to the question, "What is the right razor." Which is what makes it fun.
