I'm unable to answer that question.

Hmmmm. I think Mastro Livi " snake razor " with abalone scales. Why? Because it is the best looking razor I have ever seen! I bet it shaves like a dream to....:hmmm:
I recently honed a Herbert Wacker for a friend, OMG! It was sweet!
Does it have to be a razor that I currently own?
If I had to say right now, and if I was going to have one custom made, it would be a 6/8, half or quarter hollow, probably a Spanish point. Maybe some sort of work done on the back; jimps on the bottom of the tang might be nice. I don't know what blade material I would want, since I know very little about different types of steel. Scales would be black horn.
Sounds pretty generic (excpet maybe the point), but that's because I don't think I'd ever get tired of looking at a simple, beautiful blade. As far as the size/grind, that is simply what I find the easiest and smoothest to shave with
If it was something I currently own, it would bhe the 6/8 Tim Zowada Damascus.
Hefty hunk o' steel that shaves like a dream when you have it dialed in.
And it has a thumbnotch!:tu
P.S.- ask me again and I'll tell you it's another one!:p
I really like that Le Grelot, Seraphim. If I didn't mind a round point, I would grab one in a second. I just don't find them to be as precise... probably just a question of my technique.
I should have mentioned that I would like a thumb notch and maybe even a top notch on my imaginary custom blade. At least I think I would... I know I like the thumb notch, but I've never held a razor with a top notch.
