ANTIQUE/VINTAGE REGAL STRAIGHT RAZOR WITH BRASS INLAY - eBay (item 150318347255 end time Jan-04-09 17:39:04 PST)
Anyone know the Regal brand in the ebay auction listed above? A search of the forum shows it is not a common brand. I can't find any info. Private label of a German steel razor? Was this common practice?
Looks like a pretty good condition razor.
Can you give me some comments on it. As a newbie I'm interested in what you guys can tell me about it.
I did notice the spike point!! Is this uncommon? Would it be a problem.
Now I'm looking for strops and will check Tony's out.

Regal Cutlery Co was a trade mark used by Boker starting in 1906!
This is all the info I can find! I also found some info on companies called reliable but not in New York!Last edited by JMS; 01-08-2009 at 05:59 AM.

I've owned a few Regal brand barber hones; I have no idea if they were related only in name to the razor. The Regal barber hones were coarse and IMO of poor quality. Crap.
