Congrats on the win.
I gotta tell you that set was watched today in Chat. We had a little gentlemen's bet going on the price. Just some of the fun stuff we do in SRP Chat. You did well IMO. I put the price at almost double what they went for.
I hope you hone them up and shave with all of them. If you do, let us know how they perform.

Everyone (all six, or so, of us participating) thought it was a pretty set of razors, IIRC. As long as you love 'em that's all that matters in the end.

My personal opinion is that putting quality tools in a glass prison is a crime.
Tools are made to be used and cared for. By using it and caring for it you pay homage to the masters who made it.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Question is if these are such impressive works of art that some of them would be kept unused and the ones in worse condition would be honed up and used as honing does destroy part of the blade. But still, if you would hone them all up and use one each day for the rest of your life you wouldn't probably generate enough wear on them for it to be visible. How well does a honed up shave ready razor keep? Would only stropping them every time you use them (before or after) give you as many shaves out of each razor per honing as you get from one razor used every day?

Actually, I thought the set was complete rubbish and priced it at 1/10th the price you paid. I will happily reimburse you the difference if you would like to send them to me. I would hate to see you ripped off on ebay, being a fellow SRP member and all....
