Thanked: 13246More American Steel for the Collection !!!
These two are going in my rotation....
Some more "American Steel" for the collection
The first one was a gift from a friend here on SRP, he knew I was looking very hard for another Cattaraugus Green Lizard #131b to make a boxed two day set, and sent me this one, that with just a little cleaning up it is ready to hit the hones tonight..... Thank You Again!!!! this project is now almost done, with your help....
The second one is an E-bay snipe, that was in way better shape than I ever hoped, when I went after it..... I never expected to open the package and find a blade that has ZERO hone wear... All it took was a little polishing with some high grit paper to clean up a couple of tiny spots of rust, and to get the scratches off the blade, and this Kinfolks "The Ace" is ready for the hones....

Thanked: 77You got it already! Another one turned up yesterday "blade has some small knicks"... looked like someone pounded nails with it. Hurry up and hone that tonight so you can try it in the morning. That looks outstanding.

Thanked: 13246Still hunting the elusive Vintage C-MON Cadillac haven't seen one in months, and the last one that e-bay store (artifacts 100) beat me on, and I went high on it.. Then they turned right around and put it on their store front for $100 more, the next week.... ARGH

Thanked: 13246Well after the test shave, honestly, I really could not tell a difference, which should have been expected since these are both Case family razors...
If my life depended on the outcome, I would maybe give the Catty a slight edge on smoothness, but I would have to switch sides on another test shave to confirm it .....
