What do you think guys--worth $100:-) I'm still thinking on it. Being a newbie I wanted to get some more opinions.

Ah, a "What's it worth" thread.
Could be anything really. What are you prepared to pay?
Couple of nice ones on the bay recently.
Antique/Vintage F.A.Clauberg Red Point Straight Razor on eBay, also Straight Razors, Shaving, Vanity, Perfume Shaving, Collectibles (end time 14-Jan-09 20:45:47 GMT)
Antique/Vintage Utica Red Point Straight Razor,Solingen on eBay, also Straight Razors, Shaving, Vanity, Perfume Shaving, Collectibles (end time 13-Jan-09 04:57:05 GMT)
Not always in demand though it seems, as this one didn't even get a bid!

Same seller, so he must have a stash.

Thanked: 488I did see those first two. They kinda went nuts on the second one huh! I can't believe nobody bid on the third one. That really is strange.
To me the Red Point is worth every penny of the $100 asking price. I just wanted to make sure from those who know.
I imagine he does have a bunch of them. Nice ones to:-)

They've certainly been stored well. I was ready to snipe the 2nd one, but didn't even get a look in! They're a bit bling, but i like them.

Thanked: 488Pretty classy and yea some bling going on but like you I like it. That second one is the one that went so high isn't it? I don't know if they were stored well or just cleaned up very well. A little of both I imagine.

Yep, it was the one that went high. With the others i've seen the red dot fades, or get's rubbed away & the lettering on the scales can come off, so i'm guessing they've not seen much restoration.

Thanked: 488That's good to know. That means that indeed they were stored very well. That's even better.
