    Default 10/16 Mirror Finish?

I ran across a razor on ebay describing it as having a 10/16 mirror finish blade. I'm not familiar with that designation. Anybody care to educate me? Is it a measurement, a reference to SS or what?

My guess would be that 10/16 is a reference to the blade's width. This is more commonly referred to as 5/8, which is a pretty standard sized blade.

The mirror finish refers to how polished/finely sanded the blade is. A blade with a mirror finish is smooth enough to reflect light (and images) as a mirror would.

Thanks. After I posted, it dawned on me that 10/16 was the same as 5/8. Man, growing old has its days!

The 10/16 is a rare beast & is probably worth a bit more than a 5/8. I actually possess a few 20/32. These are almost unheard of!
