Default How did I do? Bought a razor from ebay.

Just bought this razor from ebay. My first ever buy actually from ebay.

WADE AND BUTCHER "SPECIAL" STRAIGHT RAZOR FROM SHEFFIELD ENGLAND.

Cost me about 36 bucks with shipment to sweden.
Ok or did I do a lousy buy on this one?
    It looks restorable I think.

    Warning: I'm a newb.

OK, that said... it's kinda hard to tell from that one picture, but it looks like you *might* have some rusting really close to, or including, the edge. As long as it's not so deep as to interfere with the edge, it looks like a great blade.

    Beautiful razor, for sure.

Well im not sure its rust, looks more like someting you can polish away. the add said nothing about rust on the edge so I hope he is right.

    Also landed this one.

    W.H. MORLEY STRAIGHT RAZOR
29 bucks. I just like the style of it, hope it can be a good shaver.

I've honed up quite a few of the W&B 'Specials' - all turned out fine but I would keep a close watch on those edge blemishes as suggested!

Yeah it will be nice to see what they look like when I have them in my hand, and if I can do anything with them.

Hope they not are in to bad shape.

Be careful on ebay. People often "forget" to mention that sort of detail. That's what the pictures are for - needless to say these are often blurred, out of focus, tiny, underlit or all of the above.
Also, often people selling stuff on ebay have no clue about what they're selling. Sometimes they think they have a treasure when the item is crap, and sometimes they're clueless but trying to be honest - like that guy selling a barber's notch blade thinking it had a piece missing from the toe LOL

Yeah I know I might get burned on ebay, but then again you need to gamble some time.
But I belive these might be all good ones I restored them. Thats what I am hoping for though.
