I found put that whole concept of straight razor shaving leads any normal and sane person to the outer limits of insanity known as Acquisition Disorder, you just name it ...
It wakes up that little devil on your shoulder and he whispers into your ear: "That's the one, you should have this one, don't let it get away, etc." and you just don't have enough strength to say the word NO, like it doesn't exist in your dictionary...
You just have to have them all...

My friend was over last night, and over cigars and whisky was going over the list of things I have collected in the 9 years or so I've known him. guns, pipes, lighters, knives, the razors now. I explained that the only one I've stopped is pipes, just because I don't have as much opportunity to smoke since I'm single. But I do have an issue, so we came up with a solution.
I should offer my services as a personal collector. much like a personal shopper. Let's say a guy has a lot of money, but not a lot of time, but has always wanted to collect maybe totem poles from alaska, said person can hire me, their personal collector, to assemble it all for them.
this is the perfect economy for purchasing things. I guess I need to put together a website and advertise this service.

I guess I'm in the right place. I always find that I need one more razor than I already have until I see another one and it starts all over again. After this weekends antique shop booty I really need to chill out for a while or I won't live long enough to hone and use the recent acquisitions.

Red, you say that jokingly, but I'd be willing to bet that somewhere somebody is making a living doing just that.
Last night I was watching this awesome W&B 8/8 as the seconds ticked down on EBay, and even though I was not planning on it I suddenly found myself setting up my scope for kill shot. What the heck??? It took quite a bit to pull back and just let it slide away.
Yeah, we are all in trouble.

Will it ever stop? Will I ever be well?

I am going to enforce a new rule upon myself: if there is at least one razor in my collection that I have not shaved with at least three times, no shopping.
Of course, I have to win all my current bids first.

Thanked: 735Mt original post came early one morning: "Let's see what's on Ebay....."
I quickly spied a John Bagshaw that looked promising, 0 bids, ending in 2 hours....
Before I knew what I was doing, my bid was in....
No great shakes, but for $9.99 It was fodder for my ongoing modification campaign.
