Thread: Mella Brand Razor Identification?

I have a 7/8" Mella Brand razor, and cannot identify the manufacturer or the year of manufacture. This razor lacks a country of origin stamp, which argues to me that it might be pre-1890. Or, it just might not have ever been sold outside the country of manufacture. It looks like a Solingen. The scales are cracked ice celluloid, the fancy worked back has red worked into the metal, and it is a super shaver, which rings like a bell when cutting hair or being stropped. Do any of you have either a similar razor or information about the maker? It is NOT a Jackknife Ben, as I first thought. His daughter was named Melba.
