I have couple razors which they are sharp enough to shave but will not cut your skin?while you shave
Does anyone have similar experience with blades?if you want i can put up picture of the blades.

Mine all shave, but they all cut my skin! I have no central vision in my right eye & as a result have problems judging distance close up!

It isn't the blades Sam it is that your shaving technique is so good now that you don't nick your face anymore.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Yea!
I have a very special "John Barber" that will not pass the HHT, and is marginal with TPT, but it will pass. It will give me an absolutely beautiful, non-irritating shave, and it cannot cut me! ...Well, I'd have to try to cut myself.
It's a 5/8 with a very wide, heavy spine. The grind seems to be about 1/2, maybe.
I have a rather large herd with many great, great shavers; and, this 175 year old razor is in the top 3 or 4.

Jimmy i agree with you that i am better shaver now then 3 years ago.Blades i am talking about is really has something in the blade .i don't know this is right expression or not they really won't cut your skin. There is 1 more to them they don't get extremely sharp ether but will give great shave.i had first blade more then 2 years and i never had cut problem with it.Recently i bought second razor with similar character then i relize there is something different in this blades.first one is a fontanelle 134 and second one is Koh I Noor

Do they pop hair on the arm (not touching the skin) ? I have gone to the strop with a razor I'm done honing and it wouldn't pass the HHT but it would pop hair and gave a great shave. I don't think I have ever gotten a good shave from one that wouldn't pop hair. OTOH, if they won't I will keep honing until they do.
I wonder if it isn't kind of like the difference between a Derby and a Feather DE blade ? When I used to shave with DEs I found the Feathers really sharp and at least for the first use sometimes harsh leaving weepers. The Derbys weren't nearly as sharp and I didn't like them at first. Once I figured out how to use them I got fine shaves with them and didn't have to be as careful as with the sharper Feathers.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Well lets look at this scientifically. The hair in your beard is tougher than your skin on your face so if the razor cuts your hair it can cut your skin so either your so great a shaver you can do no wrong even if you try or that's an impossible situation.

Thanked: 1195In my experience there is a slight transition period when the blade is going from scary sharp to unshaveable, which is where one of my razors is at right now. The edge is losing it's bite for sure, but it WILL shave whiskers (comfortably or not is a matter of another discussion) and definitely not cut up my face. We'll see if that changes when I get my chrome ox from Chris L.............

I would agree it's about your skills.
My point is: most of my knives can't shave, but they surely can cut my skin.
