Robert Klaas 78
Probably a common razor, on not the best shaver (I do not know), but I like so much this straight. The seller told me that the razor, made during the '40s, was part of the collection of a polish barber in Hamburg. Arrived yesterday morning, it seems in good condition. I have some new pics for you.
EDIT: I payed 20$ delivered.Last edited by clavichord; 02-18-2009 at 12:47 PM.

Nice razor you have there. I don't think Robert Klaas is 'common' going by the few I have seen on ebay. I have managed to grab two of them. My two are both fine shavers. I was attracted to the brand because of my experience with his "Kissing Cranes" pocket knives. The Klaas marque goes back a couple of hundred years in Solingen.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I have a 6/8 Klass It's a solid shaver with file jimps on the tang. Klass's are well crafted but not extrordinary.

Today my "Robert Klaas #28 VETERAN" arrived. Very good conditions, probably never honed or just pre-honed. According to the seller it was made in the '20s. Original scales in bone and original pins (perfect and tied). French point, 4/8, 1/4-1/2 hollow (?). Same price. Tomorrow decent pics.

Anybody know anything about a Rob Klaas with Prussia stamped under the name?
