Thread: Livi v. Live New Grind

Is there a difference other than Livi did not forge the New grind.

Same person sharpening, and making the scales. Just seems like a good place to start with Livi.

The steel is different. Unless you do a you own custom order, I think that the ones in stock at SRD are all larder than the regrinds. The regrinds are round point and most of the customs have a square point. The customs look almost like a cleaver... I think that they are pretty different and I bet you would notice differences in the shave too.

I have both and though the regrinds are very nice shavers to compare them to an actual Livi is kind of like comparing a Mini to a BMW 7 series. I do think if you want to get your feet wet with a Livi razor the regrind is a great place to start.
