Thanked: 7Thomas Ward Straight?
Found in a local antique mall, very wedgy, but tapered quickly, slight smile, black horn scales, and a french point/angled spike.
on the tang, Thomas Ward Sheffield.
I can't find anything on the WIKI, or google (other than Wardonia safety razors)
The scales were trashed, pivot end was chipped almost to the pin, but the blade was nearly shave ready, a little stropping, and it would have been there.
I did not purchase it, but I was sorely tempted. $25 US.
I know I should get it, 25 bucks for a hunk of shiny rust free Sheffield steel?
But before I jump in and snag it, I just want to get a little info. I know it's at least older than 1891 as it only mentions Sheffield, not England. And being a wedge, likely older still.
Does anyone have one? Anyone heard of one?
I am partially hesitant to get it, because it needs new scales, and I have yet to tackle that particular challenge.
