Thanked: 0All advice much appreciated
Hi
I've been shaving for about 4 years now and have only every used disposable razors (Mac3), being a student i find Mac3 razors too expensive!
Recently i discovered the world of straight razor and D/E wet shaving, i cant believe what i was missing!
After doing ALOT of research (this website is great!) i've finally decided to start straight shaving.
Im thinking of purchasing the razor in the link below and was wondering what you guys think? I'm only going to be buying one razor so its important i get the right one.
Dovo of Solingen Straight Razor, Cut Throat Razor, Open Razor UK
Also will this razor require sharpening?

razor
at first welcome.
i don't know how much that dovo costs but every razor when you bought usually will need put in shave ready condition.
MY suggestion will be go to classified(i am selling blades in there too and this doesn't mean go head buy from me)and look around find razor which you will like.it most likely will come shave ready and seller will be member of srp and will help you forever.Hope this helps.

Its a good razor, but it will need to be honed to a ready condition.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Welcome to SRP. I am in the USA but I have read on the forum that a lot of guys like this fellow in the UK for buying razors in shave ready condition.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

The Invisible Edge is great. Be sure to look at the vintage razors they're selling too. Not least because that's where you'll find the shave ready Wapiencas. Excellent cheap razors, used mine from there this morning and it's still feeling smooth.
