Thanked: 9Some Help With Henckels Models?
I really wanna buy a Henckels blade, but am sort of confused about all the models that are out there... Can anybody summarize all the models briefly like the Friodour and the numbered models, etc. Thanks a lot!

Thanked: 95Here's an old Henckels catalog from the help files, it's the closest thing to a list of models I ever seen.

Nope, I don't think anybody can
Some people are trying with the other big Solingen maker - Boker.
If you go on the wiki you can find the henckels' scale of hollowing.
The friodurs are made of stainless steel which is cryogenically tempered.
I think that's about all I know, the rest is that I like them quite a bit

Since the factory was destroyed in an Allied bombing run in WW2 records are scarce. You can email the company and ask them if they have any information as long as it is specific. Example. You have a stamp or a mark that you cannot find info on. Razorworld has a German Patent database online that is helpful but it takes some time to isolate the information and Henckle may not ever get back to you.
