Thread: C-MON Temper

Picked this up with a lot of razors. The C-MON looks like it's blued toward the tip. Did someone get it too hot? If so, is it worth anything as far as trying to hone it?

It looks like that is a possibility - does the razorblade look too short for the scales too? I have a razor that was shortened and has some discoloration at the tip, but it actually gives me a really nice shave

I think it's worth it to at least spend a few minutes sharpening it and see what happens

That's funny, it is too short for the scales. Currently it has to wedge in the spacer to close all the way. Is this a common theme with these?

If it's too short & blue, it's probably been cut. You may get it shave ready, but i wouldn't labour over it too much. You might find that even if you manage to get it popping hairs, it won't hold an edge well.
On the other hand, it may be fine!
You'll have to hone it up & find out.
