    Default Otto Busche Weltmeister 42

I just got this weltmeister 42,off ebay for a song, and it's a wonderful little razor. 5/8. I think that's a french point. and it's quarter ground just like my legrelot, but on a much smaller scale. So you get a light razor with the mowing sensation of a wedge. And I don't think it was ever used. Happy me.

Very nice, sleek! If it shaves like a Le Grelot, it'll be a keeper.

I really admire the styling and craftsmanship of the Weltmeisters, and finally have my first one on it's way now.

That's a fine looking razor and, yes, it's a French point.

    Mr. L Cat,

Weltmeister (German) or Worldmaster (English) razors are top of the line German razors (which I think you know). I keep three German razors in my permanent collection, a 6/8ths Puma Gold, a 6/8ths DD Wonderedge, and a 13/16ths Weltmeister Rostfrie. Hone her up and enjoy. A very fine razor. Good score. They sell for big bucks elsewhere, well, big for me these days.

thanks. I got this for about $20. one of those "what the heck this will never stand up" bids and no one else bid, and it was in killer shape. And the pics didn't show the grind, so that was a cool surprise.

I envy your 6/8 puma gold. I have a 5/8 puma 81 with no name scales and it's my favorite cutter. The only two wish list razors I have [at the moment] are I want a 6/8 puma and 6/8 old school friodur, becuase the 5/8 versions I have of each are my first and second favorites.

The Puma Gold is a fantastic shaver. I was fortunate to find her, but with the economy in the tank I would not purchase one today. They are outrageously expensive.
