Thread: H. Gambert Razors

Welcome to SRP. I don't know anything about H. Gambert but it looks like a nice razor to start out with. A little hone wear at the point but still plenty of blade left. There are many privately labeled Solingen made razors from the old days when barbers routinely shaved customers and some men still favored a straight.

If you check out the SRP Wiki here you will find many tutorials on all things related to straight razor shaving. The Workshop forum is here with many threads devoted to restoring razors. If it was me I would just wipe it down with metal polish and hone it up and shave. If you aren't an experienced honer you might want to send it out to a honemiester. You can find some here.
