Thread: Japanese-style custom

Anybody out there making them? I know Russel B. used to, anybody still doing it?

Want uniform grind, for western-style honing.

It went quick! I wanted to fund a new purchase, and didn't have the storage/counter space in my shave den for an open blade like that, so I regretably sold it.

Still waiting for the new purchases to be delivered....

Not surprised I didn't see it. I was really really busy that day.
I think I might have something fun in the works.

Don said SRD is going to be putting up a couple made by Mastro Livi in the next day or so. I've never shaved with a Japanese style razor but I've been tempted. Regular RAD is bad enough, I don't know if I want to take a chance on falling in love with those as well.

I thought Russel was taking some time off from razor making? Hopefully a PM wouldn't be too muc of an imposition.

I saw the Livis on SRD. THey look amazing, but are a traditional japanese grind. I want to start with Western grind Japanese-style, and then perhas get a real Japanese razor.
