    Default 2 day set?

What do you guys prefer for a two day set?

Would you rather it be two identical razors. Then it'd really be a set I suppose.

Or two complimentary razors by the same manufacturer with the same scales.

Or would you rather just box your 2 best favs together and call them a set.

A 2 day interests me more than a matched 7 day. I just wouldn't want that many identical razors.

A two day would be nice.

A 30 day set of different manufactures with same scales would be better.

As a new straight shaver I would think finding the blade you like best (manufacturer/model/etc) and just getting a second would make the most sense. I mean once you tune them up they will shave the same and handle the same which is what you want right? Or is there some nuance I'm missing with having more than one blade?

I'd call that a 'set of two shave-ready(stropped!) razors'. That means I can shave two consecutive days with them and don't have to worry about a strop. But then since I don't shave every day I guess one razor could be a my 2-day set as well

Now, a 'matching' set would need to be the same blades, preferrably labeled '1' and '2' and the scales could be different material, but the same shape. That's how far I'm willing to break the symmetry in order to have a functional set (i.e. distinguishable razors).

This can be a thing that takes a very long time...finding that perfect razor.
I have not had the experience but have heard more than once that two of the same can still be different.

I like having different razors. 30 seperates with the same scales would be rather boring I believe- good luck getting yours if thats what you really want

I like two identical razors. They hone the same and they shave the same. I was fortunate to pick up two 1/4 LeGrelots and would not trade them for anything. They are my gold standard shavers. Getting a new razor and honing it is time consuming and when I don't have time to fiddle with a new one I grab one of the "boys". No fuss, no muss just an amazing shave.

    Take Care,
    Richard

I did not know a factory set would be marked one and two.

Same blades with black horn and bone of the same shape would be cool.
